Amie Borst is an award-winning children’s author of multiple book series, including Unicorn Tales, Scarily Ever Laughter, and Doomy Prepper. Interested in the arts since she was young, Amie has always been involved in creative endeavors. She began publishing books in 2013 to the delight of many young readers. Now Amie continues to write multiple series, including one with her daughter Bethanie.
And the next book title is… Lexi Vega and the Starlight Stone. Lexi Vega is the girl with imagination… A simple twelve-year-old from Colombia, she loves to draw incredible pictures of spectacular worlds.
Then when she finds the mysterious starlight stone, she discovers she can use it to hop into her drawings and walk around in those worlds, interacting with talking frogs, rabbits, robots, and more.
Life in middle school is full of changes. Just when Cindy thinks accidently punching her crush in the face is bad enough, her mom dies. Suddenly she has a new step-mother with two step-sisters. But none of that compares to a new curse that transforms her into a skeleton each night. The delightful, fairy-tale retelling Cinderskella is a fun, new twist on a classic story. Young readers will giggle at the silliness as Cindy struggles through difficult changes, journeys into the underworld, and learns to look at the world with a new attitude.
The night air is chilling. The leaves are changing to orange, red, and yellow across the land. Spider webs and tombstone decorations are coming out for all to see. Halloween is almost here.
Now is the time to continue the love of reading for young readers with scary and silly Halloween themed booked.
The fantastic, award-winning illustrator Kevin Cannon is back to illustrate my new 7 book, middle grade series. He is currently reading the latest drafts of the entire series and coming up with ideas. Soon he will begin sketching the initial character concepts. This will be followed by the rough draft of each illustration. Then the final illustrations for the books.
Imagine a sinister creature that sneaks into your house at night and eats the money in your piggy bank. Before you know it, everything costs more and you are not able to buy as many things with it. This creature is real and out there. In The Tuttle Twins and the Creature from Jekyll Island, the young characters learn all about the truth of this vile creature. This book is a delightful read that will entertain and educate young readers.
